A 16-year old Philadelphia man was arrested for a chain of robberies victimizing juveniles over several days, authorities said. The robberies the youth is believed to have taken part in include: a July 22 9:56 p.m. robbery of three juveniles at Mill Road and Harrison Avenue in which an iPod and $5 cash were taken at gunpoint by a black man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt; a 7:30 p.m. July 22 robbery of an orange and white, 20-inch Rip claw style bike and Droid cell phone from a victim approached by a sizeable group of men; the strong-arm robbery of three juveniles at 6:22 p.m. July 23 at the basketball court, 2047 Mather Way, of iPods, bookbags and sneakers by a group of males; and the robbery of a juvenile at 8:12 p.m. July 24 outside the ShopRite, 2385 W. Cheltenham Ave., of a cell phone, authorities said. The investigation is ongoing and four other juveniles may be charged too, authorities said. Theft ... Auto theft ... Two males grabbed two cells, valued at $1,400, from the AT&T Unique Mobile shop, 1329 Cheltenham Ave., at 10:19 a.m. July 25 and fled, police said. Retail larceny ... Brooke Gilbert, 23, of the 200 block of Clapier Street, Philadelphia, was charged with retail theft at 1:05 p.m. July 25 afte cheap air jordans. taking $283 worth of goods from Home Depot, 2385 W. The bikes were described as: a reddish and black Genesis mountain bike valued at $160; a reddish 20-inch Kent bike valued at $199; and a little orange toddle bike valued at $89, police said. Larceny ... An undetermined amount of cash was reported missing from the register at Fashion Shades, 2385 W. Cheltenham Ave., at 5 p.m. July 25, authorities said. Security video showed a black male wearing gray pants and a dark shirt approach the register and remove the money, authorities said. Retail larceny ... A black or Hispanic male, 5 feet 9 inches, thin, wearing a black top and short pants took several Red Bull drinks from Rite Aid, 1401 Cheltenham Ave., around 3:30 p.m. July 26, police said. Robbery ... Attempted burglary ... An effort was made to break into a home in the 8400 block of Limekiln Pike July 27, police said. Screens were found lifted on three first floor windows at 11:23 a.m., but no entry was made, authorities said. Theft ... A former worker at Rita's Water Ice, 1000 S. Warrant ... Kirsten Fow, 28, of the 900 block of Chandler Street, Philadelphia, was taken into custody at 4:50 p.m. July 27 at Ryers Avenue and Old Soldiers Road on a felony warrant out of Maryland, authorities said. Wilmer Pineda, 25, of the 800 block of Allentown Road, Telford, was charged with retail theft July 27 after taking $157.67 in goods from Target, 2450 Shoppers Lane at 7:05 p.m., authorities said.
